Looking for something strange and different on your next trip to Europe? In that case, then spending a night at the Villa Hamster, in Nantes, France, just might be the thing for you.

Complete with feeders filled with grain, a water tube to sip on, a giant metal wheel (yes, you can really run on it), you will be living the life of hamster from the moment you step in the apartment. Constructed in a building from the 1700’s, it’s not only the kitsch toys that will have you felling like a real hamster, but the tiny space they reside in actually lends the feeling of living in a cage.

Created by two Nantes natives that have been designing stylish and quirky “gîte” vacation properties through their company Un Coin Chez Soi (A Corner At Home), their intention was to create an environment that was, to put it plainly, very funny. Complete with furry hamster hats at your disposal, it is bound to be a very amusing experience, especially when you find yourself mounting a ladder and crawling on all fours just to get to your bed!

This is an apartment that is clearly reserved for those with a special, more animalistic taste. For those out there that happen to be a little more reserved, fret not as Un Coin Chez Soi has many other rentals available. With themes ranging from The Gourmand and Chocolate to Games and Captain Nemo, there is sure to be something out there for everyone.

Take a look at the apartment here.
